The Waterfall of Life

A mountain river,
On its way down to unite with the sea,
Looks unperturbed.
Suddenly in anticipation of a stronger force,
The stillness makes room for ripples on the surface.

As the river cascades down the rock face,
Some droplets separate into a mist of nothingness,
Some fall down with an overwhelming force in the centre,
Some take a meandering route along the sides,
Some fall straight down,
Some take a rocky path,
Only to be united again in the river.

Sitting by the river,
It seems like the separation of the fall never took place.

Stillness is still here.
